Desktop Items Font Has Blue Background. How Can I Get Rid of This?
It used to just be the font below all my desktop icons against my wall paper, but I believe someone touched my computer and now the writing below the icons is each surrounded by a blue rectangle.
Does anyone know how to get the default icon background back? I've tried looking but can't find anyway to get it back.
Ah I clicked on the first option "Lock web items on desktop" and that got rid of it. Not sure what that has to do with my desktop icons but it's fine now. Thanks.
they might be locked this causes a solid background to appear.
right click on an empty area of the desktop > arrange icons by > lock items on desktop.
or try
start > control panel > system > advanced tab > settings (in the performance box) > visual effects tab > (scroll down to and make sure the box is checked,) use drop shadows for icon labels on the desk top > apply > ok.
