What is the farthest you have gone to test out/buy a horse?

Just out of curiosity, what is the farthest you have gone to test out/buy a horse? Miles, states, hours? How'd that go for ya?

Oddly enough, I have never gone anywhere to check out a horse (for myself).
They have all come to me.
I have never had one vet checked (for myself), have known every one of them for at least a year before I got them. Except my Standardbred rescue. He came right off the track, I picked him up two days later after one phone call.
I currently own 5 horses-all of which have been a part of my life for at least 10 years.
